Be Happy

I strongly believe that Saint Paul was an unsual human being. There are few people who suffered for the sake of the gospel like him, yet he never mumured or complained. Look at some of the things Paul went through;

“Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? So am I. Are they ministers of Christ?—I speak as a fool—I am more: in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequently, in deaths often. From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one.

Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep; in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.” 2 Cor 11:22-27.

There are few people who suffered like that for the sake of the gospel. Yet, in the midst of all that, Paul said; “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” Phil 4:4.

In the midst of pain and agony, Paul said rejoice. That means, happiness is a choice, and sadness is also a choice. You can choose to dance in the midst of excruciating pain. You can also choose to be sad. The choice is yours.

Sometimes, high blood pressure is a product of allowing your challenges to gain access into your heart. Yes things are tough. Yes you literally struggle to survive. I know that your life is full of struggles. But like Paul, I want to encourage you to be happy. You gain nothing from sadness.

Guess what? Sadness can never solve your problem. Lamenting over your challenges can never change anything. But when you raise your faith antenna towards God’s bedroom and celebrate your miracle in advance, you will forget that you’re even facing a challenge.

Talking about Abraham, Paul said; “And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.” Romans 4:19-21.

Abraham refused to focused on his natural ability to have children. Depression is a product of looking at your problem through the eyes of man. Abraham looked at his problem through the eyes of God and the miracle child was born.

That’s how to himmilate depression and sadness. Start looking at all your challenges through the eyes of God’s Word. I strongly believe that your miracle is about to knock on your door. See you at the top!
