Satan is Your Enemy Not Your Uncle

I am sure whenever some people read these posts they will say, “He doesn’t understand. He has never faced an enemy.”

I laugh in the spirit.

I don’t know how many years you have been in the ministry. You have faced nothing. If I share some stories with you, I am sure you will be piqued.

Satan is your enemy not human being. Your warfare prayer should be against satan and his demons not the human vessels he is using.

Legions of demons possessed a man in Mark 5. Jesus did not command the man to die, He simply cast out the demons. The man that was possessed went to Decapolis (ten cities) and according Bible scholars, became a missionary and planted churches.

If it were now we will focus on the man instead of the demons.

On several occasions Jesus cast out demons, He did not command human being to die.

In one occasion, this transpired:

“Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem, and sent messengers before His face. And as they went, they entered a village of the Samaritans, to prepare for Him. But they did not receive Him, because His face was set for the journey to Jerusalem. And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?” But He turned and rebuked them, and said, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.” And they went to another village.” Luke 9:51-56.

Unfortunately, Christians whom the same Jesus Christ saved are still calling down fire like Elijah to kill their perceived enemies.

Brother Paul opined:

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:3-5.

It is not a physical combat. Our target is not the human vessels that Satan is using. We pull down satanic strongholds. We cast down imaginations or pictures. We bind demons and devils. We set demonic altars and temples on fire. We take over our territory and dominate it for God. Then, pray for the salvation of souls.

Jesus Christ is the ‘founder’ of Christianity. His words are final. If we are Christians we must live and behave like Christ.

Dear Christians, let’s go back to what Scripture Union (SU) members did in the past. They interceded for souls. They did not send fire to kill people. No matter how diabolical a man or woman is, they can still be saved if we are ready to fast and pray for their salvation.

  1. Sir, this is a bitter truth, which is very difficult to practice.
I belong to the group of people that call down fire upon my enemies.
I thank God for the revelation of this truth.
    Remain blessed Sir
