In case you don’t know, worry is inviting anxiety over an issue that will never happen. It is being agitated over an issue that will never happen now or in the future.
If you look back you will discover that most of the things you were worried about did not happen. Once upon a time, you were worried about your health, but twenty years after, you’re still healthy and strong. You were worried about your children while they were in school, but today they have all graduated and live peacefully with their own families.
You were worried that you may die young. Today, you are still alive, glowing and growing strong. You were worried that because of the economic challenges you may not be able to cater for your family, but ten years later, you are still financially buoyant.
Worry is simply an unhealthy and destructive mental habit. Worry is having faith in fear. It is the high interest we pay on imaginary troubles.
Worry is so dangerous that the word itself is derived from an old Anglo-Saxon word meaning “to choke.” If someone were to put his fingers around your throat and press hard, cutting off the flow of air, it would be a dramatic demonstration of what you do to yourself by long-held and habitual worry!
When worry knocks on your door, attack it with your faith and it will disappear. Don’t ever allow it to intimidate you. When you look at your challenges through human eyes, it will intimidate you. But when you look at it through the eyes of God’s Word, it will disappear at once.
There are scriptural solutions to every problem on earth. Locate those scriptures and attack the source of your worry. Raise your faith antenna and claim your victory.
When faced with a problem, don’t deny that it exists. Faith does not deny the existence of a challenge, rather it conquers the challenge. Acknowledge the challenge, but don’t embrace it because it doesn’t belong to you. If you can replace fear with faith, you will live a stress-free life henceforth.
Shift In Your Thinking
Experiencing a change in life demands a shift in your thinking, speech, and behavior! Your mind is the computer that programs your destination in life. You can’t keep thinking like a failure and end up as a success.
It was discovered by scientists that the SPEECH CENTER in the brain controls the nerves (get the full details in my book, Wonders of Faith). The moment you confess that you feel feverish, the speech center will send a signal to your nerves to deliver what you requested!
Watch your words–they are seeds sown into the soil of the future and you are bound to reap the harvest one day. Say positive things about your life. Watch your words.
Jesus said: ““Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”~Mark 11:22-23.
Whatever you say consistently and believe from the depth of your heart is bound to happen. So, stand before the mirror and prophesy to yourself. Say to yourself, I am a champion, I am a billionaire, I am a star, I am the best in my profession, I am healthy, I am strong, I can never be sick, I can never be broke, I can never beg to survive, I am born to win!! That’s how to stand out in your generation.
