Unwavering Focus

One of the major secrets of great achievers is their ability to develop unwavering focus towards their assignment. You cannot achieve attention commanding result if you are easily distracted.

Real attack is not necessarily accident or death, it is sending people into your life whose job is to distract you from chasing after your dream.

I have not shifted from my assignment right from the day I discovered it. All my personal development efforts and daily activities are channeled toward excelling in my assignment.

I know people who move from one assignment to another. Today they are business owners, tomorrow they are something entirely different. By the time you see them in one year time, they have jumped into another thing.

Something happened in 1 Kings 20:38-40.

“Then the prophet departed and waited for the king by the road, and disguised himself with a bandage over his eyes.

Now as the king passed by, he cried out to the king and said, “Your servant went out into the midst of the battle; and there, a man came over and brought a man to me, and said, ‘Guard this man; if by any means he is missing, your life shall be for his life, or else you shall pay a talent of silver.’

While your servant was busy here and there, he was gone.” Then the king of Israel said to him, “So shall your judgment be; you yourself have decided it.”

Anytime I read this portion of the Bible, the phrase that troubles me is; “While your servant was busy HERE and THERE.”

The man he was asked to guard is like your assignment, destiny, purpose or your profession. Unfortunately, because you are always busy here and there, the assignment is decaying.

Your enviable destiny is gradually decaying because of your inability to sit down and mind your business. It is time to get back to the right track and make your life count in a grand style.

See you at the top!
